Ecommerce Bookkeeper Needed for High-Volume Shopify Business | QuickBooks Online

We are seeking an experienced ecommerce bookkeeper for a rapidly growing U.S.-based Shopify business processing approximately 3,000 to 6,000 orders per month.

Our books have been maintained by a professional accounting firm and are generally current. Some limited cleanup may be needed during onboarding, but this is not a major catch-up project.

Responsibilities include:

Posting and categorizing routine transactions
Reconciling Shopify sales and payouts to payment-processor deposits
Reconciling bank and credit-card accounts
Recording processor fees, refunds, chargebacks, and timing differences
Matching invoices, purchase orders, receipts, and payments
Entering bills and maintaining vendor records
Preparing accounts-payable and accounts-receivable reports
Producing preliminary monthly financial statements
Maintaining inventory and cost-of-goods-sold supporting schedules
Reconciling shipping revenue against shipping and fulfillment costs
Investigating routine discrepancies
Maintaining organized monthly workpapers
Supporting year-end handoff to our U.S. CPA

This role does not include payroll, payroll tax filings, state sales-tax filings, nexus management, tax planning, or tax preparation.

We currently operate one smaller DBA under the same legal entity and expect to add additional small DBAs. Please include the primary business and current DBA in one proposal and explain how future DBAs would affect pricing.

Strong QuickBooks Online and Shopify experience is required. Experience with multiple payment processors, inventory-based ecommerce, accrual accounting, and high transaction volume is strongly preferred.
