I found it is useful. There is not enough information regarding the allowance which one can claim in their tax withholding calculation.

I thought I knew a lot about payroll, which I do, but after getting the workbook I realize there is a lot more than just what I do for my current employer. The workbook is about 3-4 times bigger than the other workbooks and it’s worth every penny.

The coursework presented in the workbook was presented in a very user friendly, easy to understand format. I felt confident about what I had learned.¬†I was disappointed with the CB exam. It didn’t seem to test the most relevant payroll subject matter. The final exam in the workbook, however, did a good job at testing what would be needed to do the job in the workplace.

Very intense with all of the info a payroll person should know. I see why some companies hire Payroll companies such as ADP. I have worked in payroll before but the software did all of the work and we just had to make sure we put in the correct info.

I am just starting this course. I’ve worked with payroll for about 10 years and it’s interesting to see all the aspects of the job, not just what I needed to know.

The information on the book is very informative. However, for someone who never had a payroll experience before, I would like to see a case study to process payroll coverting number of hours work to gross pay, taxes withholding and deductions, and to dollar amount that should appear on a paycheck and to generating journal entries for the period.
