Niagara Printing Company is a leading provider of high-quality labeling and printing solutions. We are seeking a detail-oriented Assistant Bookkeeper to support our finance department. This role is critical in ensuring the accuracy of our financial records as we manage high-volume transactions for our diverse client base.

Key Responsibilities

Accounts Payable/Receivable: Process vendor invoices, manage outgoing payments, and prepare customer billings for printed materials and label orders.

Data Entry: Maintain accurate records in [Accounting Software, e.g., QuickBooks/Xero], ensuring all production costs and material purchases are categorized correctly.

Bank Reconciliation: Perform monthly reconciliations of bank accounts and credit card statements.

Administrative Support: Maintain digital and physical filing systems for tax documents, shipping receipts, and purchase orders.

Collections: Monitor aging reports and conduct professional follow-ups with clients regarding outstanding balances.

Reporting: Assist the Senior Bookkeeper with month-end closing procedures and the preparation of basic financial reports.

Qualifications

Experience: 1–2 years of bookkeeping or general accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing or print-services environment.

Software Skills: Proficiency in MS Excel and experience with standard accounting software.

Skills: Strong mathematical aptitude, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to meet strict deadlines.

Education: Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
