Due to coronavirus outbreak, many conferences and trade shows were cancelled. The charges for these conferences were booked to the company corporate card. The charges have been disputed in the hope that it will be credited. The credit card company is going to post a temporary credit for the amount, e.g. $4,000 to the next card statement. How should this charge be booked since it is only a temporary credit. Should it reduce expenses right away or wait till the credit is finalized?
