We need an experienced bookkeeper on-site in Azusa, up to full-time.
Reconstruction first, maintenance second: roughly 14 months of QuickBooks Online activity sit unreconciled since our June 2025 formation, across several company cards and accounts.
Most bookkeeping trades precision for throughput; we are hiring for precision and will pay for the time it takes.
The work: reconcile ~14 months of QBO activity, then own the monthly close; reconcile all company cards, bank accounts and payroll; categorize every transaction against its source receipt and split multi-item orders to the line-item level; adjusting journal entries; AP/AR; track inventory and COGS from components through finished goods; classify purchases for California sales/use tax (resale, qualifying manufacturing equipment, taxable in-house use, operating expense); produce a quarterly use-tax accrual schedule for our CDTFA return; prepare reconciled books for our outside CPA.
Requirements: 3+ years full-charge bookkeeping including ownership of a monthly close; QuickBooks Online; books that tie out to line-by-line CPA review; California sales and use tax including resale certificates and quarterly CDTFA returns; receipt-level documentation habits; able to work on-site in Azusa; willing to have your work examined annually by an independent CPA firm; U.S. person per ITAR (22 CFR 120.62) — we are a registered defense-article manufacturer, so this is export control, not preference.
Preferred: CB or CPB certification; CPA, EA or CPA-firm experience; audit or AUP support; inventory, COGS or job-costing; comfort using automation or AI tooling while personally standing behind every number.
$20/hour, up to 40 hours per week. W-2 or 1099 negotiable. Immediate start.

Associate degree or higher in Accounting, Business, or a related field preferred, but not required. CB (AIPB) or CPB certification strongly preferred. Demonstrated full-charge bookkeeping experience matters more than the degree.
