Bookkeeper – Denver, CO (In Office)
Compliance Solutions, the nation’s largest privately held provider of E-Learning, Virtual Education, and Instructor-Led Classes for Environmental, Health and Safety (EH&S) training, is looking for an experienced professional to join our team as a Bookkeeper. The Bookkeeper is responsible for managing accounting & administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in both Accounts Payable and Receivable.
Responsibilities:
Accounts Receivable
Daily processing of invoices, cash receipts, credits and refunds.
Review of outstanding balances and coordination of customer contacts with sales staff.
Maintenance of customer details and coordination with company database.
Accounts Payable
Daily processing of vendor invoices.
Monitoring and payment of invoices in accordance with account terms.
Reconciliation of vendor accounts.
Cash Management
Daily review and reporting of cash balances.
Recording of cash receipts and payments.
Monthly bank reconciliations with research and resolution of variances.
Credit Card Processing
Monitor customer credit card portals and record receipts.
Monitor company credit card payments and reconcile to statements.
Research of credit card chargebacks.
Payroll and Benefits
Maintenance of personnel records, PTO accounts and related personnel information.
Administration of employee benefits programs including group insurance programs and Simple IRA.
Other Bookkeeper Responsibilities
General Ledger account reconciliations.
Periodic closing and adjusting entries.
Support of sales, logistics and operations with accounting data and other administrative information.
Project work as assigned.
Support of management initiatives, related analyses, and systems development.
Light administrative tasks as assigned by management.
Qualifications and Skills:
2 years or more of proven Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable experience, preferably within an ERP system.
Familiarity basic accounting principles.
Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
Excellent knowledge of MS Office.
Qualifications in secretarial studies will be an advantage.
High school diploma required.
Associate Degree, BSc/BA in administration, accounting or relevant field is preferred.
